|Alumni Board Member
||Attend and participate in both board and committee meetings—regular meetings, special meetings, and planning sessions—to monitor and guide the alumni association's strategic direction. Act as a link between the community and UVU, not only representing the community to UVU, but also to represent UVU to the community, acting as an ambassador for UVU.
||Serve on one of the following: Marketing, UVU Magazine, Events, Legislative Affairs, or Scholarship and Awards Committees and offer experiential advice and guidance to the Alumni Association in those areas. Attend periodic meetings (monthly to bi-yearly) and offer input and carry out assignments.
||Work with specific UVU schools and colleges to establish or maintain alumni chapters in their field of study. Hold reunions or other activities, with the help of the chapter and the Alumni Association, to keep in touch with alumni and keep them involved with UVU.
||As a mentor, you would offer support, encouragement, and an 'industry perspective' to a student. No promise of employment is made or sought in a mentoring relationship. From the start, you and your student will discuss your mutual expectations and goals for the mentoring relationship.
||Intern a semester with the UVU Alumni Association through the UVU internship program. Areas of need: Communications, Photography, Web Design, Hospitality, Database management, Graphic Design.
||Create opportunities in your community for potential students to find out more about UVU. Offer your organizational skills and insights to act as an ambassador for UVU for those considering study here. There are several ways to help: Visit local high schools, host open houses, represent UVU at college nights or be a part of the parent program.
