UVU’s Young Alumni Council is a group of UVU Alumni who work with the Office of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving. The purpose of the Young Alumni Council is to encourage and maintain the relationship between young alumni and the University.
The council seeks members who have a deep commitment to UVU and a desire to give back through their time and resources. Members of the UVU Young Alumni Council shall represent varying geographical areas; be representative of gender, age, race, and represent differing careers.
Participation on the UVU Young Alumni Council requires a certain time commitment. In addition to attending two on-campus meetings each academic year, council members also serve on smaller committees which may have several meetings throughout the year. Although attendance at Council and committee meetings is not required for continuity and momentum purposes, it is strongly encouraged. In addition to the Council meetings, members are encouraged to participate in alumni programming. Council terms range from one to three years. You may serve on the Council for up to two terms.
This application is the first step in the screening process. Applications are accepted year-round, but reviewed in the spring. Following application review, you may be contacted for additional information in late spring or early summer. UVU Young Alumni Council membership will begin upon commencement of the fall meeting.
